Moab, Arches, Indian Creek (under construction)

I set off from Ogden to Moab Tuesday evening. For whatever reason (road construction sign confusion, sleepiness) I went this way:

FYI- there was NOTHING on I-70 during this drive. No gas stations, no lights, just a bunch of Ranch Exits. Apparently, the portion I traveled is part of the longest stretch of interstate highway without a any services.

I had stopped in Provo along the way... The mormoness of the town was palpable, but there was a Barnes & Noble, where I picked up this book on CD. While it's remarkable, I'm not quite sure what to say about it, so I will edit this later, perhaps in another post.

Before arriving in Moab, I stopped by Arches National Park to check out the camping situation. Every other national park I camped at put out a "CAMPING: FULL" sign almost every day & Arches was no different. For Arches camping, one must get an envelope from the visitor center, which opens at 7:30 am, and then proceed 18 miles or so to the campground.

Arches was different from other NPS campgrounds in that it was the most pristine & beautiful one I had been to on this trip. And least expensive. And there were NO bad sites as far as I could tell.

After securing a campsite by 8:00 am, I stopped into
where they have free wi-fi (and computer terminal if one is without a laptop) and ate a really great (and massive) breakfast burrito. For more info on what to do where & when in Moab, check out
