Back in Black: Return to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison (under construction)

When I first saw the Black in person sans partner, it shot to the top of my list of places to which I must return with a competent partner...

Little did I know that my wish would come true so quickly.

Black Canyon of the Gunnison

This might just top the long list of destinations from Road Trip 2007 to which I will return with climbing gear & competent partner.


Like Zion, there are notebooks behind the counter that have notes and updates on climbs.

Words cannot describe how dramatic the Black is.
My camera/skills cannot capture how stunning it looks and feels.
The National Park Service has some great photos.
